How to Overcome Lesbianism

Overcoming Lesbianism

Lesbianism is an act which is on the increase in our community and among our young ladies. Most people think it is only America that has embraced this act but believe you me, there are people all over the world even in developing countries who are secretly practicing this act. Everyone has their own theory of judgment on the issue but no one actually pay attention to practical solutions that can help girls, ladies and women come out from this addiction. Although some who practice this act may feel confident about it, Per my own interview with a number of them, almost every woman or lady who practice lesbianism; either with a partner or with themselves feel ashamed and loses some form of self-worth in their own eyes after the act. Most Lesbians trace the beginning of it all to either; low self esteem, past rejection by love ones or peer influence. The most difficult thing for those going through Lesbianism  is to talk to someone about it because the first reaction from you will be to judge them, however, this epidemic is spreading quite fast and the body of Christ cannot sit down for the devil to steal many women to hell through this act. If you are reading this article and have been battling with Lesbianism or masturbation, I want you to know that it is not normal for you to go through weekly or monthly addiction of such act; and because it is not normal you need to seek the Lord for forgiveness and deliverance. #You are very special in God’s eyes and He is just waiting for you to come to Him.

I decided to write on this topic after I received a message from a young lady two months ago that said; ‘Baaba, I need your help please. I like sleeping with girls and I have been doing this since I was 17years. After receiving this message, I was very proud of her bold step to talk to someone about her situation. However after a week of discussing the details of her over six years’ experience in Lesbianism; I was quite shocked. Notwithstanding, over the past weeks, we went through different activities that  has helped her to slowly but steadily experienced significant changes in her life. I have therefore decided to share with you some of the ways you can overcome this act if you are a, girl, lady or woman going through these addictions in secret to overcome your sexual weaknesses and trust God for forgiveness and deliverance.
                       THE WAY OUT
1.    Talk to someone about it
While it is difficult these days to trust friends, family and even some pastors with such a secret, there are still people who will be willing to listen to all that you’ve been going through without judging you. Look for someone you can trust; most importantly, a prayerful person who loves to live by the word of God through the example of his/her own life; preferably a man. I know of a lady, who visited a prophetess with this issue, it was a prayer camp so the prophetess asked the lady to stay overnight to receive counsel and directions. By the time the lady left the next day, the prophetess had slept with her. Lesbianism is a spirit so if you do not look for a prayerful and someone who lives by the word, they may end up been influenced by the spirit of lust which lives and manifest around you.
2
    .Go through deliverance
As I earlier pointed out, Lesbianism is influenced by a spirit. We pick this spirit from various sources. Some when they were in boarding school, others through a movie or pornographic movies and images on the internet, some were also introduced by friends and peers. Whichever way you got it, you can still be delivered through the power in the blood of Jesus. After listening to the experiences of the lady almost every day for a week, amidst preaching to her and encouraging her about how much God still loves her, I realized that she always had something new I hadn’t heard and she was still carrying the load of what she has done in the past. I then took her to my church where my pastor took her through deliverance by confessing that she has accepted Jesus and denounced any association with the spirit of lesbianism. After the deliverance, she became free and was no longer talking extensively about all that she had done in the past. She was now declaring her assurance in the fact that Jesus had saved her.

3.    Stay away from your Lesbian friends and make new friends
Staying away from your lesbian friends is one of the most important and difficult decisions you will have to make towards your quest to overcome this act. There are some who are beaten, laughed at or even offered huge sum of money to lure them into returning back to their old ways. I will encourage you to take bold and radical steps if the need be. Such steps could be changing your location, phone number, and opting out from any social gathering you use to go together. I know of someone who had to wake up at dawn, pack few things and move away from the house she was sharing with her lesbian partner. In the case of my friend, she stopped picking the calls of all her lesbian friends and rather spent much time seeking information from the word of God and spending time with her family. She was sometimes humiliated in town by the older women in her lesbian circle who use to take care of her financially. Worst of it is when two of the girls secretly broke into her house once when no one was around and abused her sexually with their fingers and sticks. It will be good if you find a body of Christ and become active in all their services, join a department, make new friends and steadily grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

4.  Share your testimony
Revelation 12:11a says ‘and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. Deep down the heart, everyone living in sin craves for deliverance. Those who are now learning the act and those who are already in it will receive the seed of change through your testimony even though they might not tell you. You need to let your lesbian friends know why you are no longer interested in living that life. If you just run away from them without sharing your testimony, they will only assume you have found a new partner. So tell them of your deliverance and willingness to now live a life that pleases God. If you can, share with the body of Christ what you’ve been through and how God is restoring you. You never know whom your testimony will save.

I am trusting that this article has been beneficial in helping you with relevant solutions based on the word of God to awaken you from every enslavement by the enemy through lesbianism. Remember that God  loves you and have wonderful plans for your life; and once you give your life to Him, he will clean, restore and sanctify you for every good work. His word says in 2 Chro 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU

POWER OF THE TONGUE

POWER OF THE TONGUE

Once there is life, man must communicate; meanwhile the impact our words make in our own lives and that of our hearers is very significant and thus calls for extra vigilance in what comes out of our mouth. Maybe you have not recognized the power your tongue holds; but interestingly the very earth you are standing on right now was created by the power of ‘WORDS’. If your tongue have such power, then what are you waiting for? Let us take time to study about the power this significant part of the human anatomy carries and how we can utilize it positively to experience true peace and happiness in our relationship with our friends, spouse, colleagues and families.

Does it hurt to speak?

I’m not sure of your answer to the above question but one thing I know for sure is that most people don’t struggle to speak; as a matter of fact, many people are attending seminars and reading books on how to tame their tongue. Well if you’ve been trying so hard to stop over-talking to no avail, then I’m here to advise you not to be so hard on yourself; just start saying the right things. Turn your tongue into a machine that prepares delicious meals for yourself and others to eat.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Have you carefully considered some of the things you say? The things we sometimes utter destroy a lot of things in our lives. We just say anything, murmur and complain about almost everything. Some of us are used to singing songs and keeping company of people who are full of negative words, these people I speak about joke about everything; while things continue to break down in their lives. Are you familiar with these words?
·         I’m not good enough
·         This is never going to work out
·         I know it is going to get worse
·         I’m asthmatic, I have a bile, I have perpetual headache,
·         My sickness has come
·         I’m going to die
·         I’m dead
·         I think I was made to suffer
·         If I die young (song)
·         etc.
These are all words that we can decide to blot out of our vocabulary and start speaking the opposite in hope. Positive words are not to be spoken only when you see the right things happening but most importantly when the worst is happening. Ever since I began to exercise the power of the tongue, I have realized that it doesn’t hurt to speak positively at all, yours is to be obedient and wait for the results which can be very overwhelming.

A friend once told me I speak as if God loves and care about me more than anyone else by my words. It felt good to hear that because I was just making use of Proverbs 18:21. If those who love it are going to it the fruit of it, then I choose to eat the fruit of life and not death. Thus when I’m feeling sick, I just command the sickness to vanish in the name of Jesus, when things get difficult, I dance and sing praises to God and I never cease to say; I am favored, I am blessed, I am making it, I’m making impact in this generation, my family is blessed, I’m marrying the right man, my marriage will be glorious, I will not see suffering, my children will serve the Lord, Do you know my life will be a testimony’. It really doesn’t hurt to say these things and according to the Bible, God always honors our words.  Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Numbers 14:28

Notwithstanding, do not hesitate to bless friends and families with your words. As I was growing up, my grandmother kept telling me ‘wo ye owawan’ which is been interpreted ‘You are a wonder’ any time I did something unusual. Ten years down the line and I think I’m actually really a wonder (smiling). You may not see the manifestation of your words right now; but I bet you, the very moment you uttered those words, it formed a seed in the spirit and very soon you are going to pluck and eat the fruit of those words.

YOUR TONGUE IS POWERFUL, START USING IT RIGHT!

Controlling your sexual desires before marriage

Controlling your

 sexual desires

before marriage

As long as we reside in this temporal, mortal body made of dust, sexual desires are meant to sneak in and out. Sexuality was God’s own idea in the first place and He intended it for marriage; however, these desires are not limited to only married individuals but every growing human. This give rise to the question ‘what do I do with my sexual desires before I get into marriage? While we were all growing up, we heard several sermons on abstinence from fornication, masturbation, and the like; yet we ended up failing God sometimes. That notwithstanding, because the topic is not broadly discussed, those who fall for the first time to their sexual emotions starts to think there is no means of control thus continue to live in slavery of these desires through various means. That is why we have increased sexual sins within our campuses and even homes. There are growing boys and girls as well as men and women who are battling with sexual desires with no one to talk to about it. What if I tell you I have had my own experiences to deal with and have heard the experiences of a thousand dozen more from friends, family, close allies and confidant and how they positively or negatively handled it? Let’s take a tour through some of the stumbling blocks to controlling your sexual desires and how you can control this inevitable feeling.

THINGS THAT INFLUENCES YOUR SEXUAL DRIVE
Pornography and Sexual Images
Most often than not, we attribute ‘garbage in garbage out to computers but the assessment of my own weak body and that of all human race, has made me realize that this important term relating to computers is without doubt also parallel with humans. Like a seed sown to the ground, pornography movies and pictures you watch take seed within your mind and begin to form your attitude. Pornography, sexual images appearing on your computer and Facebook pages, sexual lyrics in music as well as sexual scenes from movies are stumbling blocks to your purity and sanctification before God.

But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord Ephesians 5: 3 – 7

There are some who believe that there is nothing wrong in watching these images since it gives you an idea of what sex is all about and trains you for your marriage. But contrary to this the Bible stress in the text above that ‘everyone who is sexually immoral has no place in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let therefore no man deceive you that it doesn’t matter to watch these images. The truth we ignore is that, anytime your watch pornographic images or pictures, your libido is awakened which brings suggestions to your mind either at that moment or later days on the need to gratify your own desires.

 Sexual petting and pre-marital romance
Some are of the view that playing around a little does not hurt as long as there is no penetration. WELL… sexual desires are not something you can play around with. That is why Paul mentioned that we flee from fornication. It is not that easy to start deep kissing and sexual petting at dangerous parts of the body without desiring to have more on subsequent occasions. Let no man deceive you with vain words! And my precious ladies, you are even more vulnerable and your honor as a woman is at stake.

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life 1 Thessalonians 4: 3- 7

What I like most about the above scripture is “…not in passionate lust like the pagans”. There is no way your sexual senses will not react to your boyfriend massaging your buts, fondling your breast, giving you deep kisses or sleeping on top of you or you on top of him. We are emotional beings! If you desire to please the Lord and to obtain His favor, he is calling you to be sanctified and to practice self-control. In Hebrews 13:4, God is clear about the fact that, He loves sex once the two are married; but he is ready to judge whoever practices these things before marriage. Some of the consequences of pre-marital sex can be found in:
Proverbs 6: 32-33 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Proverbs 2: 19, None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
Proverbs 6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

Important occasions and peer influence
Your desire for sexual gratification may also arise during important occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Birthday, parties, funerals etc. It is important to ensure that closeness in terms of touches with the opposite sex is restrained during important event that brings extreme joy or sadness since they can influence the occurrence of sexual affair or petting which is a sin against your own body and against God. During this season of Christmas and the upcoming new year, I urge all vessels of The Living God to be cautious of where they go for merry making and the people they make merry with. When you are in the midst of friends who usually talk about pornographic topics, excuse them before you become intoxicated with their ideas about sex. The truth is that most people now do not see anything wrong with pre-marital sex, they refer to  it as ‘love making’ DON’T BELIEVE THEM! God’s word is above all things and even if you don’t believe in it, it will still catch up with you at the long run.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality. 1 Corinthians 6:9(ESV)

OVERCOMING SEXUAL SINS
Maybe you have fallen victim to pre-marital sex. If you have, it is not all over yet, God through His son Jesus provides the opportunity for you to be reconciled to Him. The problem is not how easy it is for you to fall but your ability to trust God to bring you out so that it does not become a habit. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. So surrender your weak body to the Lord and let Him give you strength to overcome any circumstances that may seek to pressure you to sin. Explain to your partner about your commitment to please the Lord in abstaining from pre-marital sex and other activities that leads to this. Sanctify your thoughts by avoiding songs full of sexual lyrics as well as pornographic materials.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE
Dear Lord Jesus, I am weak, please do not lead me to the temptations of the evil one so that I fail. Protect me from the devices of satan and from circumstances that would pressure me to sin – images that come up on my computer, social network walls, text messages and people who will entice me to give in to temptations. Thank you Lord for making me a vessel of honor.

And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own. Exodus 1:21

ANGER ANTIDOTE

There are different situations occurring in the thoughts and around every individual or group that can trigger either positive or negative emotional response or demeanor. Emotions such as love, hatred and disappointment may last for years but anger, happiness and praise may last for few minutes depending on surrounding circumstances. This week I would like us to walk through the antidote needed to deal with one of the temporal end result of negative emotional response; ANGER!
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Ephesians 4:26

Get angry, but don’t sin
God in His word permits us to get angry; because looking at the world around us, it is probably impossible to live without someone stepping on your toes, or you stepping on the toes of others. Petty grievances about our family members, friends, colleagues at work and brethren at church may cause us to express anger; but the word of God although saying “It’s ok my child, I know you are dust.(Psalm 103:14)’, prescribes an antidote for dismissing the long-term effect your anger can have on your life and that of others if not controlled.

The negative effect of anger that brings about sin starts with whining and complaining. When you are unhappy about something, it is not the time to go through in your mind, what was said and what shouldn’t have been said. Instead it is the best opportunity to practice silence. The Bible says ‘even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted as wise. (Prov.17:28). Whining and complaining never solves any problem, rather it aggravate it. You may end up slapping, hitting, or insulting someone with words that cuts through the heart and soul. Anger can only be sustained when thoughts of the incident is revisited over and over again due to its temporal nature. So instead of whining and complaining to cause its growth, try as much as you can to keep calm and silent about unpleasant situations this week.   ‘Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath’. James 1: 19.

Let not the sun go down on your wrath

There are times when we actually lose our temper and act in ways that leads to regret and affect our relationship with those we truly love and care about. If you are in such a situation, and you feel sorry for something you shouldn’t have said or done, don’t worry about it. That sorry heart is all that is required for forgiveness from our father in heaven through Jesus our Lord. But here are few things you can do to mend your relationships after an angry incidence.

Forgive and Apologize
If you are too shy to do this, you can send a text, call whatsup, email or use any appropriate means available. You may be faultless but just try and find one thing you didn’t do right and state that clearly in your apology to the person. The amazing thing about this is that, you will usually find the person also apologizing for where they went wrong if yours was done in all humility. E.g. Do not send a message like this “I know you were wrong but I’ve forgiven you…” or any other message that caries similar attitude as this. Recently, I was working on a project with someone who was always speaking with an angry tone. We were all under pressure to make things work and so I understood it. However at some point, the person used that same tone to lay causeless blames on me when every single thing I was doing during that period was towards the success of the project. So I lost my temper and spoke back at him. Afterwards I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to make amends. If nothing at all, for the fact that he is older than me. I did exactly that, and amazingly the person who seemed bored with me confessed his own weakness to me. That is the power of forgiveness and Apology. I have done this countless times because I realize that through forgiveness, I will also be forgiven and in the end treasured relationships will be preserved.
What is the right time to forgive and apologize?
After an angry incidence, do not wait for a long time before you decide to speak to the person involved. Some people are of the view that, when time is allowed, all tension will cool down and then you can approach the person; but this is only based on human wisdom not biblical. When you get involved in an accident, do you wait for three or even two days before treating your wounds? The same reason you cannot wait. The Bible says, ‘do not let the sun go down’.  That means, do not let the day break while you are still angry at someone. Thus today, if you have been holding grudges with someone for months or even years, take the opportunity to make a call, send a mail or a text of apology. It might not feel pleasant but the freedom and healing it will bring to your heart and mind is worth it!

Ask the Holy Spirit for Help
There are times when we know we have to forgive and actually willing to but we are not able to do it. In such cases, you will need to ask the Holy Spirit for Help. The Holy Spirit is a very wonderful gift God gave to those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour to help in emotional situations and issues beyond us. If you have the Holy Spirit, you can experience perfect PEACE, JOY, HOPE and LOVE etc. even when you are under abuse, hurt, anger or verbal attacks of any kind. Those who have this presence are able to control their emotional response to situations either after or before. You can receive the presence of the Holy Spirit by simply asking genuinely through prayer.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13

Quote of the week:
Every relationship counts, either for the saving of a soul or the betterment of a destiny; don’t let anger destroy it

THE PERSONALITY OF A MOTHER WHO NURTURE GREATNESS Case Study of Ms. Gifty Kumi, Mrs. Janet Agyekum, Mrs. Francisca Koomson and Mrs. Cecilia Abeka

Girls/ladies cannot run from motherhood, whether they want to give birth or not; and Boys/gentlemen cannot run from having a mother otherwise having a mother figure in their life. Mothers are everywhere, from our family, friends, church, and school to the women and girls we meet at the market, and social groupings. What makes one a woman is the unique physical features she possesses and so we usually say, every woman is a potential mother! However among these women are some who have a personality that nurture greatness in the people they mother. Let’s take a look at the personality of some special women I have encountered in life. Ms. Gifty Kumi (My mother), Mrs. Janet Agyekum (My Guardian), Mrs. Francisca Koomson (My former school teacher), and Mrs. Cecilia Abekah (My grandmother of blessed memory). This article is intended to honor these women and help potential mothers in raising their future children.

MS. GIFTY ABI KUMI
My mum is a woman I find very amazing! She is a haven for wisdom and understanding and indeed the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. She is the “mother to many type” and because of her, I enjoyed a lot of favors while growing up. When I was little, I heard statement like “I’m doing this because of your mother and not you”. She is not afraid of risk, her hands stretch with creativity and generosity and she does not rush to counsel. These are some lessons I learnt from her
-          Give without thinking and you will receive without winking
-          Be patient with the faults of others
-          Do not be too comfortable, always strive to achieve more
-          Always think about making the lives of others better
-          Do not utter your entire mind to people. Deception is on the increase
-          Remember your descent

MRS. JANET AGYEKUM
She is a definition of a successful woman. She demonstrates this through hard work and giving. Her level of hard work and kind heartedness to the needy is what every growing woman should emulate. She does not entertain laziness, and instill great confidence in her adopted and real children. She has nurtured over three hundred children with her own resources over the years and spending few hours with her is almost like paying to attend an important practical conference to gain extra knowledge in a profession. These are some lessons I learnt from her
-          Never blame others! Any time you blame others, you lose the opportunity of making things work better in your own life
-          What makes you successful is your line of thinking. It must differ from your friends, family and siblings.
 -          If you need anything as a person, (No matter the cost) instead of being at the mercy of others to provide, go to the market and ask of the price and start saving towards it. You will be surprised.
-          Always remember your descent.
-          If you want to be successful, you must invest in others

MRS. FRANCISCA KOOMSON
She is an example. A large number of people in our world today are full of words; they have words for what someone should have done, what someone shouldn’t have done, and the best ways someone should live. Nonetheless, a woman who is an example does not just speak her words but make sure she is living it. Mrs. Francisca Adelaide Koomson became my mother when I was in JHS three and while you may find her words hard to live by like any other words we hear from counselors, parent’s, friends, teachers and inspirational speakers, she lives it for you to emulate. She is a woman of discipline, truth, creativity, and strength. She knows raising children takes patience to see the desired transformation and thus will not give up on her adopted or real children. These are the lessons I learnt from her
-          Refrain from envy and be content with what you have; It will shock you to know that there are people who greatly admire your personality.
-          Do not hide your gifts, always use it to benefit your environment
-          Humility has the power to lift you higher than you thought
-          Do not look down on others. You never know what the future holds.

MRS. CECILIA ABEKAH (of blessed memory)
Every woman who wishes their children to be great knows that they cannot do it by compulsion, canning, excessive grounding and the like. Though these may complement nurturing at extreme situations, the wise way to raise up a great child is through prayer. Forces from everywhere across the earth are trying to influence and shape children according to their own style, and my grandmother seemed to have known that because parent’s cannot be everywhere their children go in the era of television and the internet, what works best is prayer. Living in an extended family house, she will wake up at dawn and call everyone in a circle and after praising God for our lives, she will lead us to pray for those at school, those looking for jobs, those who need to get married, those who need to be delivered from satanic influence and those going wayward in the family.  Apart from the above, she was a leader and a woman of discipline; she managed the house so well that tenants feed from her pot and join in her bible studies as well as prayer sessions. I must make it clear that she was not a pastor. These are lessons she taught me
-          Always pray together with your family
-          When someone visit you, pray before you start the conversation, gossip and evil speaking are more likely to vanish from your conversation.
-          Never sleep over in the house of a man you are not married to.

“And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Mark 9:29”.

GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU MY MUM’S! TO ME, YOU ARE LEGENDS
